SLOW DOWN

After high school, I went into the big world and had a huge restless urge to guard myself from that world.
When I look back at my youth I went in search of worldly security and I had to find out who I was.
"Highway is calling and I try to keep from falling in between the cracks, seeking and searching, my future's on the line..."

I was too preoccupied with materialistic things that stifled my mind. Inside, there was always an anxious voice that warned me to pace myself in this quest.
I compensated the emptiness in my soul with the pursuit of money and prestige. Which is the highest good that gives certainty in this world.
But I quickly found out that those things could not feed my soul.

Your future dreams can break if the hunt for materialistic things takes over.
I underwent a long and troubled journey full of uncertainties and a concerned father.
